liberal art college or cal state?

university of puget sound VS. CSUN
i'm a typical sunny CA student, and recently got admitted to both colleges.
according to my gpa, it was a miracle to get an acceptance letter from puget sound
out of $50000 tuition, i got 20,000 for financial aid with student work study.

at this point, i'm not sure which is going to be a better choice for me.
i don't want to miss the opportunity to have a better education( i adore liberal arts colleges)
but i don't know if it would be easy to adjust myself into a new environment (CA->WA), paying huge amount of money for it...

HELP ME...

for CSUN, i applied for education
and for puget sound, I'm thinking of IEP, International economical politic.

Will you be able to get a job that will pay you well enough so you’ll be able to repay your loans quickly? I fear that unless you don’t have to take out loans (eg your parents pay your tuition) you might regret going to such an expensive school. Financially speaking, it just makes sense to go to a Cal state. Now with that being said, you should pursue your dreams, whatever they may be. If your dream is to go there, go for it.

Make sure to consider the possibility that you might take 5 or 6 years to finish at CSUN. Many very well prepared students cannot get the classes they need, thereby delaying their graduation date.

How much debt would you have to take on for ups and CSUN respectively? I wouldn’t worry about the transition from ca to Washington. UPS draws a very high percent of its students from CA, so you’re likely to find people with similar backgrounds.

UPS still looks like a $30K gap. Do you have other funds? If not, the cost is way too high

The transition from CA to WA should not be discounted. That area of WA is rainier and colder. You may find it appealing, or you may be utterly depressed. Have you visited either school?

Will your parents pay the $30K annual gap? If not you can’t go there.
