I know that is quite a long list but financial aid will affect where I can go and I probably won't apply to them all.

I know my essay and recs will be great, but I feel like my gpa could be kind of low--I go to a really intense school. Where do I have a chance?

UCSC - Likely admit
Mills - Likely admit
Lewis and Clark - Likely admit
Scripps - Match
Occidental - Good stats, but what makes you stand out there? Slight reach.
Claremont McKenna - Reach

Your gpa is kind of low, but your test scores are pretty good. I think your all-women's schools are reaches. Good luck. Write a killer essay, and don't be afraid to send in extra material. My friend sent in a tape of her interviewing some Iranian leader, and a music tape. Even if they don't ask for extra information, it doesn't hurt to send it. Play on your strengths...are u a great leader...etc

just advice coming from someone who's been through the process...next year ill be at wellesley, so im done with this application stuff, thank god

I would say that Scripps is a reach. This year the average SAT was 1380 and the average weighted GPA 4.1 (I believe). The average SAT was 1500 for J.E.S. scholars, the only merit-based scholarships Scripps awards. It will probably also be Scripps' most selective year because we overenrolled by 35 students for the class of 2009 and in addition to just being named Newsweek's "Hottest Women's College" for 2005-2006.
