Im looking at NYU, UC Berkeley, Brown, Yale, Stanford, Claremont McKenna, UC santa cruz

If anyone has other suggestions I'd love to hear them!!

I do it, too! Just for that I'd like to say in for all but I need to be honest. Your ECs are a bit weak, but your SATs are very strong for the schools you're applying. Are you in state for the UCs?

NYU is a match, in my opinion. Brown, Yale and Stanford are all reaches, but they're reaches for everybody. I think you have a shot but you need more ECs.

In at UCSC and probably Claremont McKenna. Not sure about Berkeley.

I think you're in at all but the ivies. Lots of kids with your stats get into those and lots don't.

While your ECs don't look typical ivies, I've seen lots of people with your stats (if at least top 5%) and creative essays get accepted.

A lot will hinge on where you truly stand in your class (colleges will approximate a rank for you using historical data and talking with your school) and who else applies from your school. If you go to Marlborough (sp?) watch out for legacies!
