liberal arts colleges with best pre-med?

Depending upon which part of the country you are willing to look in, there are a number that come to my mind. In the south ( in addition to Davidson -which is at the top of the list, is Rhodes, Furman, Sewanee and Washington and Lee. Each of these schools has very strong pre-med programs with a majority of it’s premed grads getting into first or second choice of medical schools. At many excellent LAC’s , grade deflation can be an issue, when it comes to medical school admissions. However, the better LAC’s reputations for tough academics is usually well known and students with B averages amd decent MCAT’s will usually prevail over a student with a 3.75-4.0 in a less demanding college. Try sending Curmudgeon a PM-his amazing daughter just graduated from Rhodes this past spring and has just begun medical school at Yale-she was a Goldwater Scholar-did amazing molecular research with St. Judes/Rhodes as an undergrad. Curm. knows a wealth about a number of LAC"S.
