Liberal Arts Honors Acceptances?

Has anyone out-of-state heard from Liberal Arts Honors? Also, once a decision in made for Plan II and/or LAH, do they send a letter either in the negative or positive? In other words, do they ONLY send out letters of acceptances?

I think UT only sends acceptance letters in this time period since UT didn’t complete the admission review process. The majority of acceptances will be done later than this time period.

I got into COLA but haven’t heard back about honors. I am also curious about this.

On the Liberal Arts Honors admission page they say that if you get your application in by Oct 15, they are going to try (not guarantee)to have a decision by winter break, which is next week. I realize that decisions can still be rolling in well into February but was just curious if anyone had heard yet (particularly out-of-state). MyD got her application in a few days after that Oct 15 deadline and we are going with the “no news is good news” attitude! :)

ahumandalek: are you a texas applicant?

I submitted my applications for COLA, plan II, and LAH on November 13th. I got my acceptance from COLA on Dec. 15 and I just got my acceptance from LAH this afternoon! Hardly anyone else at my school has gotten in yet (even some who applied before Oct. 15). I’m an in-state applicant, though.

I applied late November and received acceptance to Liberal Arts Honors yesterday. I’m a Texas resident also.
Looks like things are starting to be released. Good Luck to all!

Birdsong, I am out of state. Will that make a difference with regards to my decision date?

Received my LAH acceptance letter last Wednesday (December 18) and submitted my application around 2 days before the deadline (December 1). I’m surprised to hear back so early from LAH. Although I am a Texas resident, I was not part of the auto-admin pool. I heard back from UT two days before my LAH acceptance. I haven’t heard of anyone else from my school get accepted (excluding those who were automatically accepted - 7%).

Good luck to all!

My understanding is that out of state applicants to LAH will probably not hear until around mid-February. Makes sense as the pattern here so far is all acceptances that are being reported are in-state. Guess we just have to cross our fingers and have patience.

I was accepted to COLA however I have not heard back from LAH. I’m assuming I was not admitted to the program bc I heard back from the latter in December. feedback??? I’m OOS from CT
