Liberal Arts Schools With A Good Art Department?

I have an interest in art but I'm not quite sure if I want to major in it. So I'm looking for schools that have a good art department while also having decent academics as well.

My GPA is about a 3.7 weighted, not sure what that is unweighted.
My SAT score is a 2000 (720 reading, 630 math, 650 writing), but I'll be taking it again in October so hopefully it'll be higher.
I've taken AP Art History, I'm going into senior year so I'll be taking AP Psychology and AP Literature next year. I've taken both Honors English and History throughout high school. I've been in Teen Arts (a regional showcase thing) every year thus far.
I've taken a few summer courses in graphic design, entry to which is talent based (or at least somewhat for some of them :P).
Other than that I have few extracurricular activities, and I'm currently looking for a job, so I'll probably find one during the school year when more are available.

I'm looking for schools that are relatively inexpensive as well, I just can't afford to pay 40k per year and graduate with a degree in liberal arts, as much as I'd like to it's just not happening.

I appreciate the help.

Most private liberal arts colleges in the range of $40K per year, plus, plus. So your first step is to figure out the finances. Would you be eligible for need based aid? If you’re not sure, ask your parents to use an online calculator to give you an idea.

You may receive merit aid at some colleges. Here diversity factors help: race, ethnicity, religion, geography, low income, first in family to go to college.

You might qualify for QuestBridge. Take a look.

Be sure to submit an art portfolio along with your portfolio. Art is a good EC at many LACs, but before I give you recommendations, I need to know more about your financial situation.

You need to use the calculator to see how much your family would be expected to pay regardless of whether you think you would be eligible for need based aid. You’d be surprised at what your family’s expected share might be.
