Liberal Arts vs. Research Uni (Chemistry)

Hey guys!

I'm looking to major in chemistry, and I was thinking of attending a liberal arts college over a research university because I like small class sizes and all that. What colleges should I look at? Rhodes is just a few hours south of where I live, is that a good college worth the money for a chem degree? I'm planning on getting a PhD later on, and I was thinking of going to a larger university then. My ACT score is a 32. Location isn't really a factor in my decision, but it's just a plus for Rhodes.

Thank you so much!

The American Chemical Society does some sort of evaluation of chemistry degree programs:

Note, however, that the chemistry job market is not particularly good. Try to avoid going into a lot of debt.
