My 1st college choice is USMA and then Amherst. What kind of job can you get with a liber arts degree?

the same jobs you can get with any other degree...

good prep for law school

or for a job in academia or teaching, etc.

really, a good basic background for anything

"A liberal arts education trains you for nothing but prepares you for everything." I believe this is a quote from Henry Steele Commager. It's quite true. An Amherst grad just won the Nobel Prize in Economics. A liberal arts education also provides an outstanding background for business, law and medicine. I had classmates who entered every profession imaginable, and excelled. I'm a medical scientist, with MD and PhD degrees; several of my closest medical and scientific colleagues are grads from Amherst and, well, yes, Wesleyan and Williams. The USMA is an outstanding place, but with a high quality liberal arts education, you can also certainly "be all that you can be." Good luck!

Nice post AmherstAlum, I agree with you!

I hear a lot of Amherst grads go into investment banking...maybe that was Williams...whatever.

If all else fails, there's always food services and sanitation...
