i wouldn't really mind if abortions were limited somewhat, but i definately don't think they should be completely banned. each case is so different that we can't set a standard for everyone.

They did ban them outright in Ireland. We have 5000 women a year travelling to the UK, the Netherlands and the USA for abortions which could be done safely here if our government would remove its head from its ass and legalise abortion here.

The Iraq war is ridiculous. Osama was the bigger threat. Have we captured him? No, even though he attacked the twin towers and killed hundreds! because we were too busy in a war with Iraq because they had "weapons of mass destruction" lol You know the ones that we never found! And what about in 2003 when Bush said the war is over. More soldiers have been killed in Iraq since then than before. Not to mention I find it difficult to have faith in a leader who can barely pronounce half the words that are in his speeches and spends a great deal of time on vacation which would be much better spent DOING HIS JOB. Whew! Had to get that out

ahaha i bet like almost none of you know the difference between being liberal or conservative...u just feel ur liberal cause u dont like bush.

Deal with it, the majority of the country wanted him president and whether you like it or not, we are in iraq, bailing out now would create more harm then good...

How bout this one too...instead of you guys complaining over the war in Iraq...support our troops. They are there for you. I may not agree with everything Bush does, but i will go to Iraq for my country because there is no doubt in my mind that Bush has made decisions with the best interest of the USA in mind.

He isnt gaining anything on a personal level by sending thousands of troops to iraq and afganistan. Hes doing it because the job needed to be done and Clinton ignored it for 8 years.

"I may not agree with everything Bush does, but i will go to Iraq for my country because there is no doubt in my mind that Bush has made decisions with the best interest of the USA in mind."

And another thing, you people dont seem to comprehend the difficulty behind finding one man in a hemisphere of this planet, who is a coward and is hiding in a cave somewhere. It will happen...

And please stop this "oh Bush is an idiot" BS. Lets be serious, would u feel better if Kerry was our president....uh NO! To this day i still dont know what he was planning on doing...i dont think he does either.

Bush has a set plan, knows how to carry it out, and sees all the angles. Kerry is still trying to figure out what he would have to do if he became president.

Bush, despite his trouble pronouncing certain words...mainly due to the fact that he has a heavy southern drawl...might i add, is a tremendous leader.

um, first, i absolutely know the difference between liberal and consrvative. My stances on nearly all issues are left leaning, therefore I am a liberal. And actually, in the first election, the majority of Americans DID NOT want him to be president! Gore won the popular vote, Bush just got more electoral votes. And I think he was much too hasty to go into war, and i know personally a few marines and I support the troops. However I refuse to support a war that I think it wrong and I am completely against! Bush did make decisions that he thought would be in the best interest of our country, but it wasn;t best for our country and I think Clinton was much better in office (obviously with the exception of the whole Monica lewinsky scandal...not nearly as significant as the Iraq war).

wow i thought i would go off this thread (politics hype me up a bit too much), but now i can't help it...

"ahaha i bet like almost none of you know the difference between being liberal or conservative...u just feel ur liberal cause u dont like bush."

uh doogie, tell me what defines liberal, and then i'll tell you whether i not i just "feel" i have liberal beliefs.

*edit: i absolutely support our troops. but that doesn't mean i have to support the war. the troops support each other, but many of them don't agree with what they are doing. my friend's brother is in the army, and he finds it a little hypocritical that a man who was in the national guard and thus avoided service in vietnam is sitting comfortably at home sending him off to terrible danger. and i dunno if the bush administration is *that supportive (rumsfeld: you go to the war with the army you have).

Yea, Doogie, why is it that you think that us liberals are so unenlightened that we don't know the difference between the political ideologies. We don't say "you just think you're conservative becuz you don't like kerry and you are a minion of George W"

im talking about the majority of the "liberal" population.

And yes, while i realize Gore did win the popular vote...look whos gonna be president for 8 years....BUSH! Accept it.

And he went into war too hastily...r u serious!?! It wasnt soon enough if you ask me...if i were president the moment after i found out who attacked us on 9-11 i wouldve been kicking in doors myself over in afghan.

There was absolutely no way to settle this diplomatically, fact is we were attacked and many innocent civilians died on 9-11. Now we are fighting back against terrorists. Do you recall Pearl Harbor...yea same concept.

We were attacked, and now we are fighting back those who attacked us, and those who helped. How is this not unjustified!??!

And before you answer, almost every male in my family will be sent to the Middle East during the next 5 years...my father who is a 55 year old Marine Corps. Colonel is on the verge of volunteering to be sent to Iraq...i doubt wed be doing this for an unjustified war

i dont like George W, i think there are tons of better presidential candidates out there...im personally hoping John McCain runs for president, i met him back in June and i think he would be an excellent choice for president.

Yea the Japanese attacked us, not Germany...

Point is, theres evidence of ties between Al-Qaeda and Iraq, thats why we r there. And pleeeaaase spare me, just because the media constantly covers Iraq, doesnt mean theres not a "real" war taking place in Afghanistan.

You ever hear of the journalist saying...if it bleeds it leads...

You always hear of the deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan, never of the more then plentiful successes. A friend of mine came back from Iraq after building schools, he said that the people loved the US and were extremely appreciative.

What you hear is not all that happens. I hate how the media makes the war sound like its a disaster because soldiers are dying. Yes, it is extremely sad that soldiers are dying, my father has lost Marine friends in Iraq, however, that is not all that is going on.

ooo he deleted his post now...lol i saw it dont worry
