Life after college. Is it still fun ? Where will people go ?

Hi, i'm in my sophomore , joined a frat house. must say i enjoy every little thing, from the dorm, my room, my hall, college game day, frat party, breaks..... i've met a lot of hot girls, on campus, on spring break trip, in pool parties. Seems like everyone is happy with all of what they have now. I can see the joint on their face when drinking, hanging out ..... But is it just me worrying about life after college ? Where will people go ? What will those hot chicks do after college ? They talked to me that they study very little, most of the time they spend doing photoshoot for some magazines or companies , for her instagram, working out. Will they eventually go to work ? I don't think they're gonna go to work ever cause there is no way they can handle and accept to sit for hours doing paper work, cause they are too fancy to work, i guess. Will the joint over when i graduate ? i love those moments hanging out with my friends, going shopping (i'm a guy and i love going shopping with my "girl" friends) , driving with music on, running out the campus, playing sports, cheering for our school at gameday, enjoy the fun of going to the beach, go to music festival, traveling together. I think i'm obsessed with these happiness. I'm so afraid of graduating, i'm afraid life will mess me up so badly. In my mine after college, i will no longer have a chance to go to the beach together, hanging out, me and my friends won't be walking along the beach sidewalk with just bikini on, go to the Music fest , oh :( i'm so upset seems like going to work will ruin all of your joints, and happiness . i don't want to grow up. Somebody please help me. I'm afraid of growing up, i'm afraid of being mature.

I’m being to appreciate the value of re-education camps during the Cultural Revolution…

Have you noticed that there are a lot of people in the world who are older than you and graduated college and live life with real jobs and are having a lot of fun? Yep. Life and fun does not end when you graduate.

Is “joint” a new slang/teen word for joy? At first I thought it was a typo or auto correct but the multiple uses have me wondering if I am just too old to understand.

JOY

i’m sorry, it’s my auto-correct on my phone, it’s messing everything up, i had to retype a lot when i wrote the thread, like “running around the campus” i forgot to fix that one to .

Way to break gender stereotypes! Fight the power!

But really, yes, all of these things are still possible. Hell, my parents are in their 50s and do a lot of these things.

Why would any of these things stop when you graduate college? People go into careers and start working, but that doesn’t mean that the joy is sucked out of life. You can still have friends, go to the beach, go to music festivals, play sports, watch sports, and do basically anything else you could possibly want to do.

Life is as fun as you make it. Work does take up too much time in a lot of careers, but there are less demanding options out there. I worked self employed for many years setting my own hours. Now I work part time and am back in college full time. I travel every couple of months for a minimum of 4 days. At home I still play a lot of video games and go out on fun outings. I will never take a job with inflexible, long hours that would force me to give these things up. Some people love their job and that fulfills the, more than leisure activities but I have never been like that, and I’ve always managed to have fun.

Your college sounds fun, where do you go @weberkendrick

I go to FSU . best place ever . but talking about those hot chicks in sororities, what do they do after college ? i have some girl friends, kinda hot, they tell me they study very little, and they will never want to go to work in the office, so what will they go, they have their Instagram with thousands of followers, they takes pics for swimsuits calendars. What will they do for a living in the future ?

Its called a fraternity not a frat house. You clearly learned nothing from your fraternity education and joined only for the social aspect. After you graduate you will probably never see about 95% of the friends you made in college. Jobs are hard to come by and moving to where they’re at is reality.

I go back for homecoming and live near some of the friends I made during college. Life after college is fun because you have money and freedom to do things you couldn’t do at college (it’s all about the vacation days).
