Life at Lincoln Center

I was admitted to Fordham LC. How is life here? How are the dorms? Any advice is appreciated!!

Also, I grew up in SoHo, so I know NYC. and the LC area!

Hi iismepeter.

Congratulations with your acceptance to FCLC! Some people say FCLC is a big, large high school when there are 800 commuters out of 1700 undergrads on campus. I believe it's wrong to portray the campus as a high school. There are many clubs, activities, and events on campus through the academic year. Were you accepted with housing? If you were not, there is the Commuting Students Association that programs events and activities for other commuter at FCLC: it's a good way to begin enjoying the City and the campus. The average class size is 22, and there are no lecture halls. Through experience, I have had classes with seven people in them.

If you were accepted with housing, the dorms are decent. We take pride in our reputation as the second best dorms right after Stanford. Laundry is free. The dorm suite consists of 2-3 bedrooms (shared with 2-3 other roommates), 1-2 bathrooms (depending if you have 4 or 6 people in a suite), a common area, a private kitchen, and closet space in each room. The floors are co-ed, but the rooms are single gendered.

I hope this helps.

Thanks for the advice! I was accepted with housing! How are the students who attend LC? What kind of people are they like?

How are the academics? Any other input by anyone else is appreciated!

I really just want to have fun in college with some really great people.
