Life At Rutgers?

Does anyone here go to Rutgers? I am curious at how Rutgers life is socially. I know it isn't bad at all academically, but from what people tell me about Rutgers, they either hate it, or they love it. Does anyone here have any experience?

Thanks.

Well, I'm only here for the semester until tulane opens back up, but I have been living here. Sundays through wednesdays are relatively quiet and by that I mean it depends very much on your dorm. Every dorm is different, my friend in Brett is routinely up until 4 in the morning every day, while i am only up until 2 or 3. Thats a normal school night with people doing homework then chilling out afterwards around the dorm.
Thursday - saturday is generally when a lot of parties go on. A lot of kids head over to college ave and all the frats and house parties over there. If that is your cup of tea great.

Overall, I wouldn't say I hate it, but i don't love it either, it's just a substitute for me. It is fun though, with so many people, its hard not to meet a lot of people you really click with.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I am honestly curious as to what the percentage of Asian students is at Rutgers. Is it easy to meet them everywhere you go? Is there an Asian club?

I visited Rutgers(I dont know if you did this), and it seemed that 40% of the students were asain

according to this, <a href="http://www.princetonreview.com/college/research/profiles/studentbody.asp?listing=1022413&LTID=1&intbucketid=%5B/url%5D">http://www.princetonreview.com/college/research/profiles/studentbody.asp?listing=1022413&LTID=1&intbucketid=</a></p>

its only 22%

However, thats ALOT of asains

Go to the busch campus, they are all that you will see. I am asian myself but I am one of the like 4 that live on cook campus

Thanks for the answers. I also had another question: if you get accepted to one of the Rutgers colleges (ex: Livingston), could you dorm at another college (Cook, etc)?

Yes, busch itself isn't even a college, it is just a campus and people dorm there. If you are douglass however I am pretty sure you dorm Douglass.

Busch campus is located on the New Brunswick campus? So it is just a campus choice for you to dorm at (as long as you're not in Douglass)? All the multi-college and multi-campuses kind of confuse me.

The main New Brunswick campus includes Busch, Livingston, College Ave, Cook, and Douglass. Cook and douglass are intertwined in each other. The multi college thing is very confusing and that is why there is a movement to consolidate the four different liberal arts colleges into one, but there is opposition from douglass alumni.a
