So i was accepted to LC after applying EA and am about 75% sure that i will be attending fordham. i just though it would be interested to hear from people who were accepted to LC and are either strongly considering it or completely set on attending.

also it would be nice to get to know a few of my potential classmates before moving in!

It’s among my top choices if everything works out financially, plus some other factors.

I applied to several Catholic (mostly Jesuit) schools, and most of my current top choices are Catholic schools, though I’m waiting on some decisions still.

I would be majoring in History (minoring in Irish Studies, and maybe something else like Philosophy or Sociology, too).

Put me in the “strongly considering” pool. I’ll be going to the admitted students’ day on Feb 25th; I haven’t been able to visit yet.

@ spt.leonidas
nice to meet you too leo! i applied undecided but i’m thinking that i’ll probably end up going for political science. i would really like to go into law/politics someday so hopefully that would help haha. how about you? and are you set on attending already?

@billymc
yeahh originally it was my number 2 school after nyu but after hearing back and getting a generous FA package, its definitely catching up! i still haven’t heard back from nyu (i applied RD) but i’ve heard they’re not so great with the financial aid. honestly, i would love to go to either one so i’m pretty happy with my current situation haha

@rishi: Thats cool bru… I am interested in enterin law as well… I signed up for a Economics major… i am about 80% sure of going to Fordham… do you happen to be Indian? Because I am Indian too!

haha i’m half indian! a lot of people say i don’t look it because my mom was veryy white leaving me with an italian complexion but the name is always a dead give away.

that’s funny that three out of the four people in this thread are indian, we must have a strong presence at fordham haha.

out of curiosity, where else did you guys apply? i’m from CT so i stuck to schools in NY and MA so i could get justt far enough away from home to be independent but not too far to come back if i need to

hahah nice… I’m from Texas and I applied to UT Austin, SMU, USC, Georgetown, Syracuse, George Washington, American U, and Boston U… what about you?

I went with mainly Catholic/Jesuit schools in NYC, DC, and NOLA areas, along with a few others. Not all were Catholic, though, and not all the Catholic ones were Jesuit.

I applied out of FL but just moved to NJ less than two months ago.

Sorry, not Indian, haha. Irish, though, so I have a lot of respect for what Gandhi did (kicked out Brits), if that counts for anything.

After I posted my major as History here, I went on their website, and wow they have a lot. Might double up with Classical Languages.

hahaha of course that counts! we indians have precious few world renowned figures so any recognition is great!

but seriously no worries, like i said, i’m only half indian and my dad isn’t very cultural at all so i’ve had a very caucasian upbringing. i only get a taste of my heritage when i visit my grandparents.

but getting back on topic, yeahh i was pleasantly surprised at the number of majors offered at Lincoln Center. from frequenting these threads i’d been put under the impression that LC was more limited and i’d be choosing between a more diverse major selection and city life. obviously i’m thrilled that this is not the case.

i’ve heard double majoring is tough because of the strenuous core curriculum so good luck! if anything, i would like to minor in creative writing but i think i’ll see how well i can handle the workload as it is first

rishi, we have more in common than you might think. Move that last i to the front, and you’re Irish, my friend. Haha.

Yeah, Lincoln Center actually has some non-theater majors that Rose Hill doesn’t (International Studies, for example).

I’m coming in with a ton of dual enrollment credits, and their website says they take some, so I was hoping to apply them to math, natural sciences, and other things I wasn’t inclined to take again, if they’ll let me. That would give me more room for a minor/double major. Of course, I’m not even a freshman there yet, so who knows.

and yeahh that would make things much easier i would imagine. which reminds me that i could probably get out of a couple requirements as well! do you happen to know what scores they accept for credit on AP exams?

back @ leonidas because i missed your response earlier

other than fordham i applied to UConn, NYU and (dont laugh, it was just for ****s and giggles haha) Harvard and Columbia.

obviously i have no expectations of getting into the ivies but for some reason harvard sent me a free app so i thought “what the hell.” and columbia was the last of the big 3 NYC schools so i didn’t want them to feel left out haha

rishi, the Fordham AP policy differs by score. If you get a 3 in a subject, it counts for 3 non-major elective credits. If you get a 4 or a 5, it counts for a 3 credit course that satisfies a core requirement.

hahaha its all good rishi… I understand… when life gives you lemons make lemonade right? yeah but dude you never know you can get into the ivies… ha… did you join the fordham 2015 group on fb?

After visiting other schools on my list down south, I am definitely considering Fordham University’s LC campus my current #1 choice. (I am rather indecisive though, so I am not making a commitment just quite yet.) I’m currently an English major, but I want to switch to undecided due to my experiences in English this year haha. I have always loved the city. My dad would rather I go to RH, but it just didn’t feel like LC did.
