Linguistics major and a minor?

Hello everyone, I am somewhat new here but I was told this was one of the best places to come for advice aside from counselors.

I just got into UCLA as a "Linguistics and Philosophy" major, and obviously I want to take that with me into Law School. I'm a transfer student and cannot change my major unless it is into a non-impacted major, but all in all, I am comfortable with my major (not ecstatic, but content).

I'm curious, however, if anyone out there suggests a specific minor that will help me prepare for law school as well and/or make me more marketable should I later opt to not pursue law school (for whatever reason).

Feel free to share any opinions.

Thank you.

No, a minor won’t matter for law school. Some minors make you more marketable – computer science comes to mind – but it really depends on whether you’re interested in the kinds of jobs those minors lead to.
