List Day trading as extra curricular?

I have been active on the stock market for the past 4 years (exclusively trading stocks) but have since a little over a year ago expanded my trading horizons to include derivatives and bonds. I have percentage-wise had excellent returns (way above average). My passion for trading lead to me landing an internship on a derivatives firm in the financial districts in London this summer. I am also the president of an investment society that manages a pretty considerable amount of money.

So, is this something I can be open with in my college application or will they see me as a reckless gambler that could possibly tarnish the reputation of the school?

FYI, I'm applying to HYPS, UChicago, Wharton, etc

I think it’s fine to include this–if you’ve been successful.

@Hunt I’d reckon myself as pretty successful, at least compared to my peers. But do you think I would be required to post my portfolio and/or history of trades in my application to prove that I haven’t just been lucky?

I’d suggest a brief explanation emphasizing what you’ve learned while doing this, recognition you’ve gotten from others, and the fact that you’ve been financially successful. You don’t need to post your portfolio.
