Tufts only gives 1000 characters for the why tufts essay and it's simply not enough. Do you think I could write my essay in a list format to save space? Or would the admissions committee look down upon something like that?

I think they might think it’s creative if you add a little “spice” to it besides simply presenting them with a list.

But yah I totally agree, it’s def not enough space for a question like that!

It says 50-100 words… There are example responses on the Tufts website as to how much they want you to write.

I read somewhere her (I think Dan from Tufts might have even been the one who wrote it, bu I can’t guarantee that) that you can do whatever you want with those 50-100 words, doesn’t necessarily have to be in complete sentences. So I think a list would be fine.

But remember that the limit is 50-100 words, the 1000 characters are just in case you tend to use super long words, so that you can still fit it in. Adcoms already have enough reading to do.
