List of Schools for Me? (Please!)

Well, I just got my transcript this year to look at before I register for classes next year and I was a little disappointed by my GPA I was hoping, that all of you guys could comment on my chances of some possible schools. My situation is a little complicated because I'm doing a dual-enrollment program next year. I used to want to go to MIT but I realize my grades and scores won't cut it there, so I was thinking maybe Berkeley, Rochester, Johns Hopkins (yeah, right), University of Washington.

P.S.: Sorry about the very long post! Anybody who suggests schools I might be able to go to can have a free G-mail invite. (if anybody even wants one anymore)

Try to get top grades jr yr. Jr yr is the most important so I think if you were to get straight A's or so, or maybe even lower b/c of the college classes, you would still be competitive at top schools.

However, you would need higher than a 2000 SAT. I assume your a sophomore? But anyway I got a 189 on the PSAT as a jr & w/ all the prep I did I am hoping for a 2100 or maybe even a 2200. Make sure you do all the practice tests in the collegeboard books...you can make huge improvements.

I don't want to be too positive about my scores b/c I'm afraid I'll jinx them (out in a wk) but I can def. tell you it is possible to improve way more than 100 pts even if youre a jr, let alone a sophomore.

Sorry I didn't comment on schools...it will take more info. Come back next yr. =)

PS You would have a chance (although not very high) if you got straight A's next yr + a 2200+ SAT. Make sure your math is close to perfect tho.

Hope that helps a bit.

Yeah, I'm a sophomore. I missed 1 on my math (760) and I hope that by reading more and prepping I will be able to bring my scores up. I posted as a sophomore because I was planning to take 1 or 2 classes over the summer and graduate after my junior year. However, I am very excited that I got an interview for NASA Sharp! So if all goes well, I'll be doing Sharp instead:):):):):):) And just graduating after my senior year. I have a 3.8 right now for the semester, and I am aiming for a 4.0 in the next two years! Thanks for the help though, if you need a G-mail invite I have plenty to give.
