Cornell has this program too. You need to be accepted. I'm not sure how competitive it is.

plus, you can always just accelerate at your undergrad school (through AP credits, summer school, or whatever), graduate in 3 years, and go straight to law school. in this way, basically all colleges & law schools have a 3+3 program.

Not really... you will have to take the LSAT. I think all 3+3 programs do not require the LSAT.

the Rice/CLS one does, which makes it pretty pointless. it would make sense if the 3+3 program didn't though.

Yeah, the Cornell 3+3 requires the LSAT too.

Oh, okay, whoops!

Well, though the Georgetown program isn't 3+3, we don't require the LSAT.

Applicants must at least have a 3.8, so they might as well do well on the LSAT and get into a better school. I really don't understand the policy.

As referred to by others on this thread, Columbia Law School (CLS) has a program with a number of liberal arts colleges around the country where CLS takes a couple highly ranked students in a 3 + 3 program nominated by the respective colleges. The College of Wooster in Ohio is another LAC that offers it. A few years ago when my son was looking at colleges, I was unable to find on CLS's website an actual listing of colleges that they have this 3+3 program with, but it is a number of LAC's around the country.

But again, it's probably worth pointing out that you could count on one hand the number of people at those schools who do the 3+3 program in a given year.

I think that, at least for the Cornell 3+3, it's a way for Cornell to try to retain its top undergrads instead of losing them to the very top law schools. They make the program sound super prestigious, even though the students who qualify for it could probably just graduate in 3 years and go to one of the very top law schools instead.

Hamline University in St. Paul has a 3+3 law program. It is in a nice location, close to Macalester and St. Thomas, about half way between downtown Mpls and downtown St. Paul
