Should I send in a recording of myself playing this song on the piano? Do you think it would help or would it just be typical?

YouTube links are not allowed. Anyhow, the piece that you play is much less important than how you play it. If you are a very high-quality performer (i.e., at or near conservatory quality), you should send a music supplement. If you have recorded yourself or have a video of your playing, I would be happy to listen to it and give my thoughts.

huh? they’re not allowed?

That is correct.

To clarify, silverturtle means Youtube links aren’t allowed on College Confidential. He doesn’t mean they’re not allowed to be used as a supplement.

^ Yes, that is what I meant. However, most schools do require that music supplements not be videos.

oops, sorry.
