Listing a Blank Transcript

I am wondering if I need to list schools that I was enrolled in but never took classes on my transcript. Like I attended a CCC but was registered at another CCC but I never took any classes there because it all fit into my schedule at the one school. Thanks for any advice.

I don’t see why you would need to submit a blank transcript.

Is that a serious question?

Yes, because it might appear on clearinghouse because I am enrolled and I am worried the colleges will wonder why I didnt submit a transcript from a school I was enrolled at. LOL I’m sorry it was so out of the realm of reality but I was worried :)

LOL and I am queen of run on sentences :)

No, it’s a very understandable question. If you’re really concerned about it, you can make a note on your application or personal statement that you were registered at a certain community college, but never ended up taking classes there. That way, you won’t be worried about it and the university you are applying to will be aware of it as well.

you DO need to list it.

at least, i found that i needed to, after asking each campus last year.
it will look funny on your app if you were taking classes at one CCC while enrolled in another at the same time, but they’ll figure it out.

once you’re accepted to a school, you’ll be asked to send in transcripts. since, obviously, you won’t have a transcript from the school in which you registered / never took classes, you’ll have to call their admissions office, ask to speak with a counselor and request a ‘note of nonattendance’. the counselor will send the note to your school and that’s that.

@ the rest of you…

in the future, if you don’t know the answer to a question with absolute certainty, you probably shouldn’t answer it… or, for that matter, make fun of someone for having asked it.

I enrolled at a college but never ended up signing up for classes, and as a result had a blank transcript there. I was told by that CCC that I did NOT have to submit the transcript and it was not an issue when I transferred. I’d assume it’s better to error on the safe side though.

I would think it’s a different situation if you actually signed up for classes and just dropped them or something before you were committed to a grade.
