<p>Judging from the chance threads on here, so many applicants have a TON of extracurriculars to report, but the Common App only accommodates a certain number of ecs (I think 10 maybe??). So if you have more ecs, then how do you list them? Do you send a resume? Or do you kind of consolidate activities together? For example, writing "varsity sports" then for the description writing "co-captain of tennis and soccer teams and also martial arts outside of school"? Or does that look like you're trying too hard? :)</p>

<p>Agreed. The chances that you have 10 extracurriculars that you’re equally as excited about and involved in is very, very slim. </p>
<p>First, sort them by importance to you. Then try to combine some similar items if possible. Most likely, only the first few will catch the eyes of the adcom unless you have some really exciting on the whole list.</p>
