<p>Born in America or not... you're still Pakistani ;)</p>
<p>They will know you are American because you will provide them with a social security number and you will check the U.S. Citizen box. I think that's enough for them not to confuse you with an international or a green-card holder. Also some applications even ask for your place of birth if I'm not mistaken.</p>

<p>Yes. Most often you will see it under Indian subcontinent or South Asia, along with Sri Lankan, Bangladeshi, and Nepalese (not many of them around).</p>
