i helped my mom out at work all throughout high school and in college (unpaid)
could i put that under the volunteer section? i dont really know where to put it, it did affect the amount of time i had to work on stuff in high school and it shows a bit of my character. but i know it also might seem shady to list family stuff as an EC
Maybe in the additional comments section. Or you can try to incorporate it into one of your essays, like the one about obstacles you have overcome.
It depends, maybe, on what extent you’re talking about. You don’t need to list it for us here, but if it was fairly significant, add it. They definitely look at stuff like that.
Otherwise, you can add it into an additional comments box or write an essay about it.
I agree. I would add it too. You can note unpaid in tiny comment box. “Unpaid. Helping family business” sort of thing.
