A long time ago (over 8-10 years ago) I enrolled at a couple of CCC, some of them I started to take a class at (went to the class maybe twice before not going again) but then stopped going, and some I applied to, was accepted to, but never enrolled in any classes. Should I list those? I don’t even remember the exact dates or what the actuall classes were that I took and then stopped attending after going once or twice.
@boxandwhiskers “some of them I started to take a class at (went to the class maybe twice before not going again) but then stopped going” Did you formally enroll into that class? If you never formally enrolled into any of those classes, then no. If so, then yes, for the class(es) you were actually enrolled in.
I don’t know if you should list schools you enrolled into, but never attended?
@goldencub I took an Art class and went to class maybe 3 times? I didn’t even drop it, I just stopped going but I did enroll in it and pay for the class. I tried to add it on TAP and listed the dates from August of 2005 to August of 2005 and it won’t let me do it. Should I just put from August to September of 2005 just to have it on my TAP record or just not even include it at all?
@goldencub I’m just going to add it on TAP with whatever dates I think I attended (paid for the class and went, even if it was only once or twice). They won’t deny my application if the dates are wrong, right?
When in doubt most people suggest calling the admissions office. Just call any one of the UC’s you are thinking of applying to and take their advice on how to proceed.
I would contact the schools to see if you were ever given a grade for the courses. It’s something you should know anyway for when the application comes out.
@music1990 @Orangered123 You’re right, thank you!
I agree with @music1990
I enrolled at another CC, registered for one class, and withdrew before the W deadline. I did not list it and did not have any problems with my app.
You need to make sure you actually withdrew from the classes you stopped going to, since I’ve had professors fail kids who never formally withdrew.
If you enrolled at a school but never registered for classes (meaning no transcript), this is what they say to d: Do NOT list the school in the drop down because the system will not let you move forward unless you add a course, which you don’t have. Instead, note the school/s in the additional comments, along with relevant term and note that you never enrolled in courses. Should you be accepted, you do not have to send anything.
This only applies to never registering. Once you register and receive any grade, including W, NC, etc. you need to list the course and send transcript.
