Did anyone else notice that there are virtually no postings anymore under alphabetical lists of colleges. I used to love reading up on the schools my D applied to to find info from ocurrent students and current applicants. The new format is not as reader friendly and folks stopped posting. Disappointing. It used to be a great resource. There still seem to be posts under top liberal arts colleges though. Just curious if others noticed this?

I noticed also, and I was wondering if there was some correlation between the new forums and this new trend. There also seems to be an unusually high numbers of posts in the "What are My Chances" forum, though always popular, it seems to be getting over-the-top

I would agree that the new format is not as user friendly. It's a major reason I stopped posting, even stopped reading other posts. This would be such a good time for those of us who went through the admission process last year to post impressions and info on how our Ss and Ds ulitmately liked their school of choice/attendance. I had thought about posting positive and helpful ideas, but I just don't find this format as comfortable or readable. Ironically, one of the areas I work with is usability and human interface with computers.

personally, while the other wasn't as high-tech, it was homey, and friendly. I actually preferred the less technical setup. I don't need doo-dads or other cool gadgets.

I find this format easier (and more familiar.) But I see that many parents and kids even give school reports here instead of in the school forums and that's a shame. You could post there, then just drop a one liner here "hey, I posted about xyx school, go read if interested."
