Hold a good thought, all you USNA enthusiasts, as the Naval Academy Prep School batallion travels to Ft Monmouth for the annual NAPS/MAPS football clash on Saturday.

Rumor has it that several MAPS trophies may have appeared -- as if by magic -- in the trophy case in Ripley Hall's quarter deck. (NAPS watch there is doubled between now and the game Sat., but that must be a coincidence.)

Way to go, NAPSters on your victory over MAPS on Saturday. It sounded like there was plenty of fireworks on and off the field.

For some reason, the guys at MAPS didn't think it too funny when their trophies were returned. They really didn't like it when the NAPSters posted a "For Sale by Owner" sign right on the fifty yard line after the game!

Were you there, Red Bear? I heard something about the MAPS chain gang swiping Capt. Hautau's cover during post-point push-ups, and a NAPS player in full pads tackling the offenders to recover it.

No, I wasn't there NorthernCalMother. I just got an excited call from my son and he told me about that incident with Capt. Hautau. Sounded like a big time was had by all!

Did you check out the pictures on the NAPS parent's page?

I'm a NAPSter right now, and I was wondering if anyone got that tackle involving Capt. Hautau on video. I would very much like to see that again, seeing how that player has achieved almost godlike status for his actions at the game.
