Seriously, in some liberal arts colleges, the Asian percentage is <5%, Is it because Asians are interested in Ivys more??

I'd assume that's the main reason.

yeah asians go for the prestige. besides, you can get a lib arts education anywhere. all major universities have a lib arts college so essentially going to a major university will give you more choice to study what you want.

Lots of Asian parents are prestige whores, and will not allow their kids to pursue a degree that seems "useless". I'm asian and my parents would refuse to pay for my tuition if i decided to pursue a liberal arts education because they view it as useless, and doesn't seem as presitigous as a B.A. in something like poly sci, engineering etc etc....

my aunt(legal guardian) think LACs are for anti-social nerds who are afraid to talk in front of 100 kids. She also thinks any school without a graduate program is crap. I remember we argued for two weeks, and i finally had to pay for my Swarthmore app fee

The posters seem to know what they are talking about.
Another issue might be that many LACs are in rural or small town environments without large Asian populations. Wellesley and Barnard aren't, and have a high percentage of Asian-American students.
