Hi i was wondering if someone that lives in the dorms could answer my question. I live in west sac and im wondering whether it would be worth the 14 thousand dollars to live on campus. I feel as if it is a better decision to commute to school and save money. However, is living on campus really worth it? Like the social life and making friends? Would my ability to make friends be hindered by living off campus? Thanks for your time!
I don’t live in the dorms, but I can definitely say that living off campus does not hinder your ability to make friends. There are many people who live off campus who are still able to make friends. Living in the dorms does give you the advantage of being able to get to your classes quicker than if you were to live off-campus, though (people who live off-campus tend to have to bike/take the bus to school, unless they live in an apartment that’s as close to campus as the dorms are, i.e. The Colleges at La Rue Apartments, which is literally right across from the ARC).
