What are the benefits of each?

I preferably want to live an independent lifestyle with no roommate, but i'd still like the opportunity to meet lots of new people. I've lived around LA my whole life and am not really down to do the dorm life. Will living in the off-campus apartments prevent me from meeting people compared to on-campus plazas?

Any opinions are greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

i would live off campus if i were you. there are plenty of other way to meet people

has anyone found any nice, affordable apts nearby campus?

No, living off-campus isn’t social suicide, but it’s a lot easier to meet people if you live on campus. Generally, you will have to meet people by joining clubs and through your classes… Not a very difficult task but more difficult than meeting people in your dorm. Living on-campus allows you to meet a more wide range of people, so to speak, and it will be easier to build closer relationships than if you were to try to make friends otherwise.

The cost of living alone in Westwood, anyway, is more expensive than living on campus. But even assuming price isn’t a problem, I’d live on campus if your concern is making friends.
