LMU EA Transfers for Fall of 2017

Hey guys, I applied to LMU as a Regular Decision transfer and got my acceptance emailed to me on March 10th. Hopefully you’ll get your decisions soon  I applied as a Psych major…here are some of my stats:
-High school GPA: 3.0
-College GPA: 3.86 (only one semester of classes)
-SATs: 1800
-Average amount of clubs and other extracurriculars

still have not heard back  applied EA for film and tv with a 3.5 gpa, 32 credits, and a decent portfolio

@helloitsmeeee They won’t contact us on the weekend. It’s only on the weekdays

I know. My Pepperdine rejection has me questioning my whole outlook! Fingers crossed for LMU which was my primary choice to begin with!

ahhh, thank you. that is good to know

Deferred. :frowning: We’ll see if that changes or not.

At about 2:18pm on Friday Loyola sent me an email saying that my status was updated, and in the email was link to the engage portal saying I was deferred :frowning: We’ll see what happens when regular decisions start rolling out.

@illuxa Don’t worry, there’s still a chance you could get in. April is right around the corner

still haven’t heard backkkkk urgh

@illuxa I got deferred too. Did the update tell you to send current semester grades then they can make a decision?

Still no email received :frowning: I’m very nervous

I finally called. My application is under review. I was transferred to a counselor and we spoke for a few minutes regarding the questions they had for me, i.e. working full time while going to school (I do now, won’t there), being on campus ft, etc. It went well and I should have an answer this week.

I just called them, told them I was an early action transfer, and the person said “transfer? within the next three weeks. bye!” and I was and remain slightly annoyed… but hopefully I will be hearing soon! trying to stay positive

@helloitsmeeee They probably thought you were one of the Regular Decision Transfers. I guess they’re not aware that Early Priority Transfers dates were March 15, and they think ALL transfers’ dates are April 1. But that was kind of rude of them, to hang up like that. They didnt give you a chance to explain either. I’d say to call again tomorrow and hopefully get a better answer from someone who knows what they’re talking about

@Clairemp Yup, that’s the gist of the status update, and there’s a new ticker one the list of submitted documents that says “waiting for current semester grades”. I combed through some old threads on here and a lot of people never even needed to submit midterm grades, LMU just updated it to accepted/rejected on their own

I thought we send them our semester grades at the end of the semester? We’re supposed to send a midterm report? @illuxa

I’m starting to get pretty annoyed, I still have not received an email from LMU. I even called but the Dean of Admissions was out so I had to leave a message. I’m not even feeling anxious anymore about the decision, I’m just annoyed lol

I called. Still under review. They are supposed to call me back tO’Day. I’m skeptical.

No new ticker, no request for semester grades. My application was submitted on December 29tn. Very frustrated.

@Woodst0ck wow seriously?? That sounds so frustrating. You’ve been waiting forever! I wonder what this means for us
