I applied to LMU under Early Action and sent two letters of recommendation (only 1 was required) with my application. I recently received an invitation to apply for the Honors Program, which also asks for an “external evaluation” (basically a letter of rec). Can I use one of the same teachers that already submitted a letter of rec, or do I have to find a new recommender?
Yes. Our D already sent an email to LMU to ask that question and she can use one of the recs she used for her regular app. Kind of interesting to me. I guess the committee that decides on honors does not see the first regular app but evaluates the candidate after they are accepted by just using the honors app. Also, we’ve heard that all kids were invited to apply to honors just fyi.
