LMU vs. Santa Clara vs. Chapman for Theatre

My daughter wants to attend a smallish liberal arts college in California, and seek a B.A. in theatre. She loves to act, but also wants training in directing and stage management. She hopes for a career in the theatre industry, but does not yet know in which capacity.

She has been accepted to LMU, and is waiting for responses from Santa Clara and Chapman.

Any opinions?? Thanks.

Although none of these three colleges are particularly strong as overall institutions, for theatre and film, Chapman is top notch and ranked very highly. If accepted I would advise her to attend Chapman for a theatre major over Loyola Marymount or Santa Clara. I once had a chapman theatre teacher teach a class in junior college in which i was enrolled, and he was truly amazing. Although i dont know much about theatre (i only took a couple lower division theatre classes), his teaching just backed up Chapmans strong name in theatre. He was truly remarkable. I believe his name was Mr. John Jones if you would want to possibly find him on their site and email him any questions you might have about their program. He is very active in their performing arts part of theatre and is a very nice man and excellent teacher!
