<p>Yes. A grad student is eligible to borrow 20.5k a year in stafford loans (8.5k subsidized, 12k unsubsidized). In addition, the student can borrow in a Gradplus loan up to the cost of attendance (determined by the school) minus any other financial assistance you will receive.</p>
