Parents information are needed on the need access form because while students are considered independent students for federal aid purposes, they are not considered independent students until they are at least 27 years old (at some schools 30 years old) for financial aid purposes at law/med school.

As a law student, you student is eligiblel to borrow the entire cost of attendance (- any stafford loans, which will be unsubsidized) as a Gradplus loan. However, I would not recommend in this economy that a student take on 200K of debt in addition to any undergrad debt.
