<p>How much does location affect a person's chance of getting in? I've read a lot of times that living in NJ makes it harder to get into an Ivy. and etc
Also, how can you find out how many people from your state applied to certain schools in previous years?
Anddd... I live in Michigan. Does this help me or hurt me in applying to ivys? (most specifically brown university)

<p>it depends on the college. if you look at sparknotes they say something about this under each college when you look the college up. from what i read region is more important than state. and midwest i dont think is the region that has the most applicants to brown but i dont really know and dont know a way of finding out. </p>
