Locking Cable for Laptop

I was thinking of purchasing a locking cable for my laptop, but in order for it to work, the cable must be tethered to something permanent. I will be living in McMahon Hall at Lincoln Center campus. Just wondering if any of the furniture is anchored to the floor or a wall, so I can attach the cable to it.

No, none of the furniture is anchored down. I can ask my daughter if anyone locked up their laptops and to what.
I know she never felt the need to lock hers up. Your bedroom door is always locked, and your apartment door is always locked, so the only people with access to your room are people you or your roommate let in. She hasn’t found theft to be a big problem.

Ok, correction, the bedroom doors can stay unlocked.
My daughter says that people even leave their laptops at the library and go get something to eat and no one touches anything. Not that she would recommend that, but it’s really a pretty safe place.

She has never had a problem in her room.
