London School Of Econ. Questions from a USA Sophomore

Hi guys, i'm a high school (sophomore) student from the US and from what knowledge I currently have, LSE is a school i'm interested in. I have a few questions for you all who probably know more on the topic that myself.

1) For the essay, where exactly can I look for relevant experience in economics based jobs, internships, etc.

2) Does LSE look at ACT scores, and if so, what is a respectable one?

3) The most important one: I know that LSE wants an application at the beginning of senior year and base admission highly off of AP scores. I will have taken 6 relevant ones (plus APHG) by junior year. I will have at approximately 5 more by the end of senior year, but there is no way to submit those. What can I do to show that i'm taking the class and believe I can score highly? Or am I just kind of out of luck for those to be counted into the admissions decision?

1) Make sure that you understand what they actually want. Firstly, it’s not called an essay, it’s a personal statement. Secondly, 75-80% of it should be about why you want to study the subject, with the remaining 20-25% about ECs, with a focus on relevant things. Given that economics is very much an academic subject, you don’t need work experience, just things that show you are genuinely interested e.g. extra reading or attending public lectures.

2) Not sure, check the website

3) UK students haven’t finished their exams either, so their teachers give predicted grades. So, you’ll get predicted grades for your APs from your teachers, include those on your application, and receive offers that are conditional upon you getting specified grades in those APs - no room for senioritis!
