Long story short, my interview for Harvard was about two and a half hours long. We were having a good conversation, and the time just sort of flew by. Do you think this is a good or bad sign?

I thought it was a good sign, but then I realized that you had to ask; then I lost all faith.

It doesn’t matter a bit. Alumni interviews count for zero. Anyone can interview and there’s no training. Long story short, there are a lot of quacks out there interviewing.

Sounds like your interviewer liked you which is a good sign that you’re interesting, but don’t count on it to mean much towards admission.
