Hello, I’ll be transferring to OSU next year and am thoroughly researching what to major in, as I don’t know exactly want to do with my life. I’ve always loved music, and I’ve been looking into the Music History major, which I thought would be more historical and writing based, but it seems an audition is necessary, including sight reading. Can anyone tell me what the point of that is, as well as how hard it is? The only instrument I play is guitar, so this major is likely out.

Besides any type of music major I was also considering a double major in International Studies/ Political Science, both of which I’ve read are solid programs at OSU and would lead to many potential jobs. I love the idea of Securities & Intelligence within Int. Studies. Is anyone in this double major, or either program that can tell me how they like it?

Finally, along the lines of my interest in music, is there anyone on here in Fisher who is planning on trying to work in the music industry post-graduation? What major might lead to something in the industry?

Thanks.
