Most colleges are going to have decently strong biology programs. Narrowing it down from there depends on a lot of other factors - where in the country you want to go, whether you are looking for research opportunities. Have you tried the college search here on CC? Also, what do you want to do with a biology degree?

I agree with nanotechnology. You should look at LACs…possibly Carleton, Pomona, Haverford, Oberlin, Harvey Mudd, Amherst, Swarthmore, and Grinell…you should look each one up and see which matches your interests.

Since Bio is common to virtually all univs, many/most will be very good. Find affordable schools. Run the NPCs with your parents.

With an ACT 30, also apply to some schools that will give you huge merit.

Will you be premed?

(In another thread, you ask how many bio students go on for a PhD. That info may not be readily available. And, some may go one to Dental or Med school. More to the point, the answer won’t tell you how strong the bio dept is since most people, no matter where they go to college, do not go on for PhDs.)

Edited to add…you’re an int’l. You should have mentioned that in your thread. Most schools don’t give aid to int’ls.

How much will your family pay each year?

Thank you all. My family contribute is $35000. I prefer the state like PA, MA, VA, NC , but other states not too cold are also considered. I am not premed.

$35,000 total or per year?
Also, if you are looking to potentially go to graduate school, keep an eye out for and ask about opportunities for freshmen to get involved in research.
