I’m looking for a traditional college in the northeast region of the united states (new england) that has a good studio art major for illustration, I want to be a 2d artist and illustrator in the gaming industry. Does anyone have advice for such schools? thank you

I am not interested in art schools they are too expensive and I’ve already tangled with a few in the past
Depending on the range of your interests beyond art, these might be good colleges to research further (schools vary considerably in selectivity):
Williams
Hamilton
Vassar (may be less strong in studio art than some of the others)
Smith (if female)
Bard
Sarah Lawrence
Skidmore
Wheaton (MA)
Purchase College (SUNY)
For less selective options compared to most of the above, consider Alfred and Manhattanville.
