Hello! :)

I saw a similar thread earlier, and it seemed like a very good idea. The only problem is everyone on that thread seemed to be male. Well, I am a female... so I decided to create a new thread.

Gender: Female

Dorm: Preferably Honors Housing, and maybe Jester

From: Houston, TX :)

Major: Biomedical Engineering (but this may change)

Do not smoke or drink (Not much of a party person)

To be honest, I may seem quiet at first (I tend to be on the shy side for strangers), but once you know me, I'm social

I am not a gym person, but one of my goals for college is to stay in shape, so I may be going to the gym quite often. (Let's see how long this is going to last...)

I don't play sports, but I saw UT has a quidditch team, so I'm planning on joining!!

Band FTW! I play flute, for fellow band geeks out there :) I may play flute for fun in college, but I'm definitely not planning on playing for UT.

I rarely play music when I study, but if I do, I play epic soundtracks from epic movies. Other than that, my taste in music leans more towards rock, but I'm cool with any type of music

Rest assured. I am neat.

I won't have guest over often, if at all

I ususally sleep at around 11:30 to 12:00 and wake up at 8:30-ish

While I am down for fun, my main focus is academics, so I want an environment in which I can focus.

No sorority

I am planning on attending June 27-29 orientation, and I still need a roommate for that too.

Message me if you are interested! Even if you don't turn out to be my roommate, I hope to see you at Austin :)

Hook'em Horns \m/

This is a great idea! : ) I’ll post something too:

Hey, I saw your thread about roommates, and I actually think that we have a lot in common and believe that we would get along well! I’ll fill out a “form” like the one you did (and I’ll probably re-post this in the thread you created for other people to see too later on):

Gender: Female.

Dorm: I think that I applied a bit later than most of the freshmen did (I’m a transfer student), so at this point I’ll be happy if I secure a spot at all. I wouldn’t mind living in Jester, though.

From: San Antonio, Texas.

Major: Public Health.

I like to go to small house parties occasionally, but not if they become out of control. I’m not a smoker, and I’m not old enough to drink.

It takes me a little while to open up because I’m shy, but once I do I’m fairly social.

I don’t really go to the gym, but I do like to walk. I love how there are so many things within walking distance of the campus! I’ve also taken yoga and pilates classes, and wouldn’t mind continuing that at UT. I’ve never really gone to a gym, but I’m sure it would be fun with a partner!

I don’t play any sports. I ran track in middle school, and have thought about taking up running again… But not competitively, just as a way to exercise. Quidditch sounds fun…

I also play the flute! I’ve been thinking about auditioning for the UT Marching Band, but I’m not the greatest at the piccolo…

Music tends to distract me when I’m studying unless it’s an instrumental piece. I listen to several genres, though: rap, classical, pop, metal, indie, etc.

My desk is the only part of my room that is admittedly a bit scattered because my homework papers and school books are all over the place, but I’m neat as far as clothing and such go.

I doubt I’ll have guests over very often. I’d rather go somewhere else than for someone to come to my room.

I tend to go to sleep at around midnight and wake up at 8:30 or so. I’m usually in “quiet mode” at around ten or eleven.

Academics are also my first priority. I suspect that I’ll be taking a fairly heavy course load in the fall, so I’ll likely be doing a lot of studying and will need to focus.

I don’t plan on rushing, but I am mildly interested in joining a spirit group. We’ll see how that goes.

I’m attending the June 23-24 orientation. Are there any other transfer students that are interested in living on campus?

Haha I created the other thread!

Hey =D. I did post somewhere on here that I was going to do off-campus housing since its a money saver, but if that is a no go, I’ll def sign up for Honors Housing if any other is interested. I posted my thing on dhs topic
