Looking for a School

Hi! I'm a junior, and I'm having a little trouble finding my "dream school..." Based on the criteria below, do you have any ideas? Here is what I'm looking for:

*Small classes (~20 kids or less) but I don't care about the size of the actual school
*A wide variety of classes, despite the fact that they're almost all fairly small
*Academically rigorous, more intellectual enviroment (anything but HYP is fine)
*Most students live on campus and campus dorms are fairly nice/decent
*Not a frat school
*Preferrably on the east coast, but that doesn't really matter so much
*Stronger English/Psych/Comp Lit departments (= I don't care for sciences)
*Vibrant campus life, although by that I don't mean a serious party school
*Not hippy-ish (not a heavy drug culture)
*I prefer no core and I don't mind requirements, but no requirements are good, too.
*a happy school
*down to earth people
*A warm community
*I don't care about surrounding location, but I'd rather it wasn't in the woods.

I don't know if there's a college with all of that, but whatever you can think of is great! If you mention a college that doesn't have something from my list, can you please let me know? Thank you so much for all your help! :)

I'd suggest you look at Denison. Not exactly east coast (Ohio) but it certainly meets the rest of your requirements. My son loves it there.

William & Mary/Davidson/Swarthmore/Chicago/Tufts/Brown/Amherst/Oberlin/Carleton. These would be a good start.

conn college

sounds like Brown

Take a look at University of Rochester. It has most of what you're talking about (although intro courses may be larger).

Rice comes to mind. No Greek scene, warm and friendly student body, nice dorms/campus, large city, rigorous academics, ability to triple major, etc. Although it's mostly known for the sciences, English is actually the most popular major at Rice. :)

Wrong coast but maybe you should consider one of the Claremont Colleges (Southern California). Kenyon College is also in Ohio but may be worth a look. I think Amherst and Haverford (both in Consortiums, like the Claremont Consortium) may be of interest as well.

Not to rag on other folks' choices (these are 2 of the top schools on my list) but Davidson does have non-residential fraternities and Carleton is one of the more science-focused LACs. Both these schools have warm communities (and Davidson has warm weather) and fantastic academics though, so don't rule them out.

Brown is hippy-ish

What about Vassar?

Vassar doesn't have comp lit. I'll definitely look into the other choices, though. Thanks so much! :)
