Looking for a tutor

Hi I'm taking physics I and II this year, and ive found it motivating to work ahead with a tutor in subjects that are harder for me, like physics, so i was wondering if anyone knew of great tutors that youve used during your years at nyu, even students who do really well would be fine. I want to work maybe every other week in the beginning of the school year to get ahead in the concepts, and then every week as we get closer to the exams if possible.

So please let me know if u know any good physics tutors, students or professors, it doesnt matter as long as they are good and u can highly recommend them!

Thanks
and if someone does reply i can give u my email but id rather not put it up here publically

Unfortunately, the quality of the Physics I and II professors and TAs is extremely hit-or-miss, with it being mostly on the side of miss. (This is from my point of view. However, the Physics at the London Study Abroad site was much much better.)

The College Learning Center at Weinstein offers free tutoring. Check it out at http://www.nyu.edu/cas/clc/ . I've used it plenty of times for Physics and Calculus, and while it wasn't the most super helpful thing ever, it definitely made a difference.

If you're not satisfied with their services, then you can start to look for a private tutor. You can advertise for one or you can look for one who's already advertising. I'd definitely look for good grades in the class, great references, good schedule, and reasonable rates. I imagine that you can expect to pay anywhere from $15-$30+ an hour.

Since you're premed, you may want to consider a physics tutor who also does MCAT prep. That way you can review concepts that are crucial for the MCAT as well as increase your scores on the Physics I and II exams.

If you have any more questions about anything at all, feel free to ask. I'll do my best to answer. :D

thanks for the help, if u know of anyone though that would know good tutors, that would be the best help cuz ive been looking online for ny tutors but i dunno if what im finding si very reliable//its pretty expensive. And ive used weinstein for stuff and while thats helpful for hte little things id rather get someone i can meet with weekly.
I wanted adler who i heard is the best professor but he was filled even tho i had a good reg time, so i have burton budick and i wanted the TA abishek who older kids told me was good which i got, but now i see that he is no longer teaching rct and lab and i have some other guy instead on my schedule...also im not going to london, id rather stay here with my course load although i am aware the program there is a bit better. So wat can u tell me about budick and also if u have any friends who know of tutors?

Thanks for your help regardless though

i guess no one else has any useful info???
