Hi! First, let me clarify that I am not looking for a "chance" (I know those are difficult to predict for Ivy Leagues). I would just like people to review my current resume and tell me what they think are my 'passions' based on my ECs. I spend a lot of my time in two areas in which I am very interested and active, but I am unsure as to how I should highlight those areas in my application. In addition, any advice on what I should improve upon in my application would be appreciated. Also, for those of you who know about submitting supplementary materials, I know that most colleges dont recommend that applicants submit music supplements unless it is exceptional. Is this the same for artwork? Taste in art/beauty varies immensely between different people, so I dont know if there is any consensus on what is truly amazing art. I dont take art lessons or anything, but I paint in my free time, so I was thinking about submitting a portfolio of some of my favorite pieces (mostly watercolor paintings, oil paintings). Thanks for your help! :)

For submitting art supplements, I’ve heard of mixed responses from colleges, ranging from “I love to see your amateur art and learn how you spent your time” (Dartmouth) to “Don’t send us anything unless you’re won national or international recognition” (Yale). For help on that, maybe consult some of the older posters in the art/music forums. There were people posting in the past years about this who seemed to be very knowledgeable about sending supplements.

As for EC, you just seem to be a jack of all trades.

from a glance i’d assume music and volunteer work to be your passion?
