Looking for advice.

I am a more recent college graduate from UConn, August 2010. I currently work in representative services for an insurance company, its like customer service but we answer questions from our sales people in the field. I am an African-American male who participates in volunteer work with children weekly. I graduated with a degree in psychology. I was not ready for college at first so my overall GPA is just 3.04, however my GPA over my last 60 Credits is over 3.3.

I am not looking to attend a competitive full time MBA school in Fall 2012. What type of GMAT score should I look to receive before applying? As Connecticut does not have many options I am looking for a school anywhere, what are some competitive schools I may have a chance of getting into? Would it help if I took any courses between now an enrolling, such as local MBA courses to prove I can handle the course load or undergraduate courses that may improve my chances as I was not a business major. I have taken accounting, micro econ, macro econ, marketing, and a few other courses (I earned 18 credits in business).

Thanks

Jesse
