I have a Bachelor Degree in Accounting, I want to switch to Business Analyst or BI analyst. I work full-time, so online degree is the only option for me. I’m looking for a 2nd bachelor degree in information system or technology. I’m interested in computer programming, SQL. I’m having a hard time to choose an online school. Do you have any suggestions?
Since you already have an undergraduate degree, I would look into a reputable book camp. Funny there is someone posting in the nontraditional student forum who is looking to get out of IT development and into accounting for long term longevity, lol. Another though, since Information Systems is like a business degree, maybe you will get better bang for the buck in a MS program.
Boot camps are controversial. I’m not a fan since I don’t think you can cram a lot of relevant knowledge into peoples’ heads in a few weeks. Developing computer-related skills takes a lot of time and practice.
I thought the Master program designs for people who already has experience in the field. In addition, the master program focuses more about business and management. Also, it is a little expensive. I want to take classes to learn more about the IT foundation and technical skills.
I did a research on the CS/IT certificates, but I’m not sure if it worth the investment. Simba9, how do you know about the UCLA Extension IT management Certificate program? I think it is a great certificate program.
