I’m really not trying to be a Debbie Downer, but I just saw a report from my university’s grants office that indicated that the Department of Defense SMART scholarships are in danger of being eliminated due to the sequestration. If this is the same scholarship you are receiving, I would try to find out what is happening. The report I read indicated that the DoD needs to cut $200 million, and they’re looking at eliminating this program.

I’m surprised no one has mentioned Syracuse yet

“Looking for big, D1 **state ** schools with a lively party scene”

Syracuse isn’t a state school, although it has one attached.

Ah, my bad. I missed that part.

I haven’t seen the #1 party school on here yet…

West Virginia University!

Have you looked at cost of UNC. You say it meets full financial need, but be sure and run the calculator. They may not think you have the need you think you have. If it includes loans you are better off going somewhere local and save money for medical school if that is your dream.

UF is known to be a party school! (Sorry if someone mentioned this before)

Rutgers (New Brunswick)?

According to the link previously provided the top 3 party schools are:

1 - West Virginia
2 - University of Florida
3 - University of Texas

For academics Texas easily wins.

Middle Tennessee State better known as MTSU largest school in Tennessee with 30k crazy drunk party kids There is a reason you have never heard of its academics

Pretty much every school has been referred to as a “party school” at least once, hell I’ve seen MIT called that. The title is meaningless.

The real party schools don’t need a title to be recognized. Those that are party schools know who they are
