Which state universities do you consider to be the biggest party schools?

arizona state

basically all of them. just off the top of my head: uconn, umass, uri, penn state, florida, tennesee, texas, suny albany, georgia, wisconsin, ohio, indiana, mississippi, maryland

oh, yeah, UMass. my dad taught a class and did grad work there--he calls it "zoo mass"

Arizona State, UCSB, and San Diego State

Ohio University is the king/queen/prince/duke/entire royal family of party... i guess wisconsin should get some mention too... IU is good but the drug scene gets kinda scary

Clemson, South Carolina, College of Charleston, Coastal Carolina, UGA, NC State, in my experience the more rural the school the more of a party school it is because there is less to do except party

PENN STATE!!!!!!!! My favorite quote from a good friend who goes there is: "We pregame like you party"

Southern Illinois University-Carbondale

Chico-State

That's not true. Wisconsin was ranked above ASU this year.

i went for a visiting weekend to wisconsin and when i eventually woke up i felt better than i ever felt in months! -- all that local beer we drank there is actually very good health-wise -- now that's a party school with a little bonus: beer that makes you feel good the next morning instead of giving you a hangover

Wow kihyle, SDSU just wasn't doing it for you (seeing that you're also from SD)?

i dunno, wisconsin struck me as a much more of a party place compared to sdsu (but may be that was because they housed us on frat row?) - and nothing could compare to beer in WI, i mean it was like living in prague or somewhere in germany but not actually living there

IUP isn't on that list? That surprises me.

I'd say IUP and Penn State from this area. If you want a small liberal arts party school go to Mount Union.

Cal tech is the ultimate party school!!!

i hate these kinds of questions because it really doesn't matter- big (state or not) schools can be anything. there will be parties and there will be kids who don't party and are more studious... sure you can say there may be more parties at AZ state than oregon or whatever, but that doesn't mean if you go there it will affect you if you don't want it to or it's a bad school

just my two cents

UGA is an ultimate party school but I have plenty of friends who do not party that much at all (though I know many who do).
