Hi I'm having trouble finding decent info on what I can do to be accepted to good colleges. I live in a rural part of Missouri and I have about 40-50 college credits from a community college from when I used to live in the Portland, OR area. I had a rough time growing up with my family so I ended up not continuing High School but I got my GED when I was 16 and started college right away. Since I was a little too young for college classes, my GPA ain't too hot (2.7). The last year of classes I took I have gotten nothing but A's and B's so I know I have what it takes to do well at a college, especially if I don't have to worry about holding 2 jobs and dealing with family while going to school.

I read some of the "What are my chances?" threads and it seems that everyone are high school graduates. Is there info on what I can do to boost my chances? I want to get into the medical field. Currently, radiology interests me the most. Obviously, I want to go to the best college I can for it.

I never have taken the SAT/ACT but I started studying for the SAT on collegeboard.org and I am really enjoying doing so. I work at a pig farm but I still have a lot of free time to do other things, such as career exploration and extra-curricular activities. What does a college look for for a homeschooled GED graduate student?
